The Urchin is discovered growing in one of the Water Purification facilities in the Ishimura's vast Sewer System, below Hydroponics, which may mean that the Urchin is an offshoot of The Leviathan. As with The Leviathan, The Slug, and Drag Tentacles, this last tendril is its vulnerable spot. Specifically, the Urchin has four large tentacle "arms" tipped with yellow, eye-like orbs that can be protected by a tripartite 'eyelid', a triad of smaller, rear-mounted tentacle-mouths that can disgorge explosive sacs (akin to those produced by the female Slashers), and a frontal tentacle tipped with a knot of faintly luminescent, swollen, gnarled, yellowish cartilage. Shortly after this, the tenth chapter will end, and the eleventh chapter will begin.ĭead Space is available now on PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox Series X/S.The creature's origin is a mystery, but it bears some resemblance to the Leviathan and the Slug, consisting of a rather formless main body surrounded by multiple tentacles. Once the cutscene is over, players will need to aim at the tentacle that is dragging them along to avoid getting killed. Once players attempt to go back into the shuttle, a cutscene will play. Other Necromorphs will spawn during this fight, so players may want to deal with them first before luring the Hunter behind the shuttle. If the Hunter is behind the shuttle, the engines will completely incinerate it. Quickly run back into the side room and use the terminal to test fire the engines again. Completely dismember it and then use stasis to freeze it in place. In order to beat the Hunter, lure it to the back of the shuttle where the engines are. ![]() The Hunter will jump out once the engines have been test fired. Mercer's creation has been harassing players since the fifth chapter, and now it is time to finally deal with it for good. ![]()
